 137 Ukrainians killed on first day - Russian Domestic protests against Putin


The war between Russia and Ukraine has begun after prolonged tensions in Eastern Europe. Russia attacked Ukraine from the air and land. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also launched a full force to counter the Russian offensive.

So far, 137 Ukrainians, including civilians and members of the military, have been killed in the Russian offensive.

The United States has said Russia has fired 160 missiles at Ukraine. Russia says there have been 203 attacks on Ukraine on the first day.

A Russian plane Antonov-26 crashed in the Voronezh region near Ukraine. Russia says it happened while transporting aircraft equipment. The crew of the plane is dead. Russia did not say how many of them were there.

The Kremlin says French President Emmanuel Macron has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the Kremlin, Macron and Putin have had serious discussions on the Ukraine issue, and the Russian president has told France about the reasons and circumstances for the attack.
