Approval for use of TURKOVAC vaccine manufactured in Turkey

Turkey's Ministry of Health has recently approved the emergency use of the Turkovac vaccine developed in Turkey to combat COVID-19. With this development, Turkey has become the ninth largest producer of COVID-19 in the world.

This vaccine has been approved for emergency use throughout the country. Today, Turkey is one of the nine countries in the world producing COVID-19 vaccine, according to Turkish Health Minister Fahretin Koka. The Turkovac vaccine is scheduled for nationwide distribution next week. Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has previously stated that he intends to distribute his COVID-19 vaccine globally. He was of the opinion that the aim was to bring benefits to all mankind through it. Last week, Turkey promised to deliver 15 million doses of its vaccine to the world's poorest countries. Turkey has said it will provide the vaccine as a humanitarian requirement in countries with low vaccination rates.
