Olympic record of shooting by American female Army lieutenant

Amber English, who competed in skeet shooting for the United States, won a gold medal at the Olympics and set an Olympic record.

She broke the record set by 2016 Women's Skeet Gold Medalist Diana Bacosi of Italy.

She was not discouraged by last-minute misses to compete in both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, and this time she won by setting records. Amber English is a 1st lieutenant serving in the U.S. Army Scoring Unit.

Earlier, the American media had published various reports about Amber representing the English Olympics. Her arrival is part of the Army's world-class athletics program, which will allow soldiers to excel internationally.
