Corona virus rates rise by 80% in five of the world's six regions - WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) says that the number of cases of corona infection has increased by 80% in the last four weeks in five of the world's six regions.

Meanwhile, the Australian authorities have taken steps to close the city of Brisbane for three days in the wake of reports of Delta infections.
