Cases against Boeing from relatives of crashed Indonesian airliner

Relatives of a group of passengers aboard the Sri Vijaya Airlines flight that crashed into Indonesian waters in January are preparing to file a lawsuit against Boeing in the United States over the crash. The company has been accused of flying "faulty and vulnerable" aircraft. The Boeing 737-500 Sj-182 belonging to Sri Vijaya Airlines crashed into the sea a few minutes after take off.

At the time, the plane was carrying 62 people, including passengers and crew. The Indonesian family is preparing to file a lawsuit against Boeing in district court in Illinois, USA. Three members of the family were killed in the accident. According to them, the Boeing 737-500 had defects before launch and had been avoided by the company. They stated that the aircraft had a fault in the autotrophic system. This system is known as the automatic control of the engine power of the aircraft. They also allege that there were other faults in the aircraft. Both black boxes of the aircraft have been recovered so far and the cause of the accident will be clearly identified from the Pilots conversations mentioned in them, Sri Vijaya Airlines said.
