Daily bathing is bad for the health

According to Dr. Elaine Lawson, an infectious disease specialist at Columbia University in the United States, daily bathing in water dries out the skin and increases the risk of germs entering the body and causing infections.

Although many people believe that daily bathing can reduce the risk of infection, she noted that bathing only removes body odor. Commenting on this view, Assistant Professor of Dermatology at George Washington University in the United States

According to Brendan Mitchell, regular skin rinsing removes the skin's natural oils, which in turn affect the activity of bacteria that are good for the immune system.

"Daily water baths are not necessary because bathing once or twice a week is often sufficient." says Dr. Mitchell.

What most people don't know is that the human body is naturally a machine made of oil, and he says that many people lose that condition by taking more baths.

Western dermatologists point out that it is important to avoid applying soap all over the body while bathing, and that soap should only be applied to areas where odors are present, such as the armpits and feet.

It has been reported that a person with dry hair should wash it once in a few weeks and those who have dandruff and hair related problems can wash their hair with shampoo several times a week.

Previous studies have shown that washing the skin with too much water can damage the body's beneficial bacteria, viruses and other germs.

According to Dr. Lawson, who says bathing every day is inappropriate, people should pay more attention than ever before to wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water. She says this reduces the risk of getting sick.
