The results of the 2020 US presidential election have taken a sharp turn. Obama's Vice President Joe Biden has posed a formidable challenge to Donald Trump, who is currently ruling the country.

The rise came as Democratic candidate Biden claimed victory in Wisconsin and Michigan on Wednesday afternoon, US time.

According to the figures, Biden could reach the 270 mark if he can win six more votes, while Trump needs 56.

However, unofficial reports indicate that Trump is ahead of four of the remaining five states, Pennsylvania, Alaska, North Carolina and Georgia. Biden is ahead only in Nevada.

In terms of vote share, Trump is likely to get 20 from Pennsylvania, three from Alaska, 15 from North Carolina, 16 from Georgia and a combined 54. But Trump lacks two there. The Nevada victory sets his limit.

However, if Biden wins in Nevada, he will get six units, enough to get him 270 votes.

Candidates, however, will have to wait longer until the victory is apparently counted.

Millions of postal votes have been cast in the election due to the corona virus outbreak, and delays in counting have been reported.
